Image
The Ammungan Festival, held annually in Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, is a vibrant celebration of the province's founding anniversary and its diverse cultural heritage. More than just a festival, it's a testament to the unity of the region's various indigenous groups. The name "Ammungan" itself, derived from the Gaddang language, means "coming together" or "gathering," perfectly encapsulating the festival's essence  Central to the Ammungan Festival are the ceremonies and rituals performed by the indigenous peoples. These time-honored practices offer a glimpse into the spiritual fabric of the community. These include thanksgiving rituals honoring deities and nature's bounty, healing ceremonies led by tribal healers, and offerings and sacrifices to cleanse and bless attendees
